Machinima

We conduct research in developing, understanding and advancing a new computer-based 3D animation production technique known as machinima. Our aim is to form a center for research in this area in Atlanta with three overall research foci:
1) theory: analyze and test existing tools, formats, and production methods of machinima and develop the theoretical framework around this new technique
2) practice: develop new tools for machinima production process and test them in our own productions
3) networking: assemble a network of artists, academics, and interested industry partners
