The ABL/UT project is developing the infrastructure to hook the character language ABL (A Behavior Language) to the Unreal Tournament game engine, as well as developing examples of ABL characters in UT worlds. ABL is a reactive-planning language designed for authoring believable agents, based on the Oz-project language Hap. The initial implementation of ABL was built to support character authoring for the interactive drama Facade. The ABL/UT infrastructure and examples will be included in the public release of ABL, as well as serving as a platform for future EGL projects.
