Experimental Game Lab - Policies and Procedures

Please save personal work to the Scratch folder on the PCs instead of on the desktop. Be aware that personal files are subject to periodic purging with no notice. Backing up important files on a portable hard drive or by some other method is strongly recommended.

Do not download files from the internet or install software on the machines without first checking with the lab manager.

Games are not to be taken from the lab.

Memory Cards are available for use, but be aware that they may be periodically cleaned off with no notice. Bringing your own memory card is highly recommended.

Please bring and use headphones for game play when other people are working in the lab.

Please be considerate to your fellow lab users by throwing away all trash and being aware of possible mess hazards.

Refrain from eating at the consoles and computers. Please eat at the conference table instead.

Books with the "EGL" bookplate are available for checking out. Books with the "EGL:Reference Only" bookplate or no bookplate should not be taken from the lab. Please check the inside cover of a book before checking it out. (See lab manager to check out a book.)

When leaving the lab, make sure to turn off any console you were using and return all equipment and games to their proper places. If you are the last person leaving, please turn out the lights, arm the alarm, and make sure the door is closed securely behind you.
